Laura López Castellanos was born in 1997 in Ajofrín, Toledo. She obtained her Biochemistry Degree in 2019 at the University of Castilla -La Mancha (UCLM). She made her final degree project in a research laboratory performing the project ‘Design of an astrocytic model of leptin resistance’ under the supervision of Prof. Cristina Pintado Losa and Prof. Emma Burgos Ramos.
After finishing the degree, she enjoyed a mobility grant in Università degli Studi di Trieste, in the departament of Immunologia e patologia molecolare with Prof. Roberta Bulla.
In 2020, she started a Master’s degree in Research and Advances in Molecular and Cellular Immunology performing the project “Role of the T-lymphocyte receptor alpha chain gene enhancer in the transcriptional activation of other genes” under the management of Prof. Cristina Hernández López de Munain in IPBLN-CSIC (Granada). After this, she started to work in this research group and was there until the end of 2023.
