Juan Alcaide Del Río was born in Aldeaquemada (Jaén) in 2000. He graduated in Biochemistry in July 2022 at the University of Córdoba (UCO). In 2021 he started to work in a research laboratory in the department of molecular biology and biochemistry as a collaborating student (UCO).
In 2022 he began his final degree project titled “Optimization of the synthesis conditions of furfuryl alcohol by MPV reduction of furfural over ZrO2-based catalysts” under supervision of the Prof. Francisco José Urbano Navarro. In September 2022, he began a Master’s degree in Bioenterprise at the University of Granada (UGR). In 2023, he obtained an intership in INVES BIOFARM (Granada) and carried out the final master project titled “Atopic dermatitis, market study of current treatments and impact on the patient’s economy”.
In January 2024, he began her Ph.D in Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) under the management of Prof. Ester Vázquez Fernández-Pacheco.
