Oscar J. Dura is graduated in Physics from Universidad of Granada and obtained his PhD at University of Castilla- La Mancha (UCLM) in 2009. During his first postdoctoral stay in the Technical University of Vienna (TuWien) with professor E. Bauer he analyzed the influence of the nanostructure on the thermoelectric behavior of Cobalt based oxides. In a second postdoctoral stay with the J. Santamaria’s group in the University Complutense de Madrid, he dedicated to the growth of 2D complex oxides under high pressure sputtering techniques. He moved to the UCLM in 2012 where he became associated professor in 2021. During his trajectory, he has acquired experience with different techniques available at large facilities for materials characterization. His research topics are focused into complex materials such as thin films, nanostructured composites or hybrid compounds for energy harvesting and new functionalities.
