Alicia Morcillo Mora was born in Picón (Ciudad Real, Spain) in 2000. She obtained her Chemistry Degree in July 2022, at the University of Castilla -La Mancha (UCLM).
During the last year of her degree she started to work in the research group MSOC Nanochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Ester Vázquez Fernández-Pacheco with the project “Synthesis and characterization of new self-healing soft materials”. In June of the same year, she received a IRICA fellowship to continue her research.
In September 2022, she began a Master’s degree in Chemistry Research carrying out the project: “Self-healing materials with application on soft robotics” also under the supervision of Prof. Ester Vázquez Fernández-Pacheco, during this year she received the UCLM-Santander Grant for initiation into research for students of official master’s degrees.
In October 2023, she began her Ph.D in Sustainable Chemistry with the thesis titled “New soft materials with application on soft robotics”under the supervision of Prof. Ester Vázquez Fernández-Pacheco and Prof. Sonia Merino Guijarro, also she received a fellowship from UCLM to carry out this thesis.
